Welcome

  • A Memorable Celebration of 75 Years:
The Leibniz Institute of European History (IEG) Marks Its Anniversary

On November 6, the IEG celebrated its 75th anniversary, with 100 guests from the fields of science, politics, and society. Highlights of the event included a welcome address by the Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate Alexander Schweitzer (left) and a keynote lecture by internationally renowned historian Sir Christopher Clark, Regius Professor of History at the University of Cambridge. The IEG directors Nicole Reinhardt and Johannes Paulmann (pictured in the center) enriched the program with their contribution "The IEG Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow".
