Public Research-Colloquium: Challenges and Opportunities of a Handbook Project in the Digital Age. Book Presentation of the Third Volume of the ‘Handbuch zur Geschichte Südosteuropas’
Book presentation on the third volume of the ‘Handbook on the History of South-Eastern Europe’. The IEG invites you to a joint event within the public research colloquium of the Leibniz Institute of European History, the colloquium of the Department of Eastern European History at the History Seminar of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) and the South East Europe Society (Mainz branch of the South East Europe Society). During this event, Dr. Konrad Clewing and Dr. Edvin Pezo (both from the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies Regensburg (IOS)) will present the third volume of the "Handbuch zur Geschichte Südosteuropas", titled "Staatlichkeit und Politik in Südosteuropa nach 1800." After a welcome address by Prof. Dr Johannes Paulmann (Director of the IEG) and an introduction by Prof. Dr Hans-Christian Maner (JGU), who will also moderate the event, Prof. Dr Nada Boškovska (University of Zurich) and Prof. Dr Jan Kusber (JGU) will offer their comments from a reader's perspective. This will be followed by a presentation of the handbook project and the concept for the third volume by Dr Konrad Clewing and Dr Edvin Pezo. The event will begin at 6 p.m. on that day.
